We are open from Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm and for 52 weeks per annum. We close for all Public Holidays, which are deducted from your fees in advance.
Fees are payable, in advance, at the beginning of each month by monthly standing order.

Enrolment form
An enrolment form should be completed and sent before a child can be considered for a place.
Registration fee and deposit
A registration fee of £30 is payable upon completion of a booking form. If for any reason you withdraw your registration, this fee is not refundable.
A deposit of £200 or 4 weeks fees (whichever is the lower) will be required for all bookings taken and is payable on confirmation of your booking. This deposit will be refunded against your final bill, when leaving the nursery.
There is a minimum booking of 2 sessions per week. The increase in the latter is to allow your child to benefit from the structured curriculum and learning opportunities that we offer. A discount of 5% will be offered to any brothers or sisters booking into the nursery. This discount will be provided on the lowest value of the 2 bookings and will cease when only one child remains at the nursery.
Payment of fees
Fees are payable Calendar monthly in advance, based on the number of sessions divided into equal monthly amounts.
Fees are due on the 1st of each month by standing order. Any fees paid later than the 5th of each month will occur a late payment fee of £10.00.
Fees are reviewed annually on the 1st January.

Change to sessions
We require a minimum of 4 weeks notice to cancel or change a confirmed booking. If you cancel your child's place, giving less than 4 weeks notice, we maintain the right to charge you the fee equivalent to the difference between the notice periods provided and our required period of 4 weeks. In the case of increase in sessions this will be arranged as soon as there is vacancy.
Illness
Unfortunately, days in lieu cannot be arranged as places will have been allocated to other children.
Any child suffering from sickness and /or diarrhoea, or heavy cold or who is not well enough to cope with normal nursery routine, should be kept at home. Parents should inform the nursery if the child is not well and will not be attending nursery.
Unforeseen Nursery Closures.
In the event of severe weather, the nursery will endeavour to stay open as long as possible. Due to staff costs and overheads, fees will not be reimbursed.
Medicine consent form
Parents are required to sign medicine consent form before any medication can be given to their child.
Capol will be given to a child, if the staff feel it is necessary, but will not be given until we contact the parent.
If you think your child requires Capol or medication during the nursery day, it must be provided in a named bottle.
Health and Safety
1. Parents must use the nursery car park at all times and park safely. Vehicles are parked at the owners risk. Parents are asked to be vigilant at all times and aware of other parents and children.
2. Parents are asked not to allow other parents or visitors into the nursery without a member of staff present.
3. Parents are reminded that only authorized people are to collect their children.
4. The nursery requires parents to complete health records for their child. The nursery will require emergency contact names and medical information regarding allergies, dietary or special requirements. Children should be vaccinated for their own protection although it is not a requirement.
General rules
1. The children should be dressed suitably and all outer clothing clearly named. The nursery is not responsible for damage to clothing or lost articles.
2. The use of any form of chastisement, verbal humiliation, or aggressive behavior towards staff or children is not acceptable at the Ashdon House of Children.

4. The nursery have a formal complaints policy and if any parent/carer should have cause for complaint they should report it without delay to the nursery manager or owner.
